Getting to the Thiel Gallery
By Bus No. 69
Bus 69 towards Blockhusudden runs several times per hour to and from the Thiel Gallery. Starting from Stockholm C Klarabergsviadukten, it runs via Sergels Torg (opposite Åhléns department store, next to T-Centralen) and then via Hamngatan, Nybroplan, Strandvägen, Berwaldhallen, Ambassaderna, Museiparken and Manilla. Get off the bus at the stop called Thielska Galleriet.
Do not take bus 69 towards Kaknästornet, which only goes as far as Kaknästornet.

Drive along Strandvägen, keeping to the right at Berwaldhallen, then through Diplomatstaden and past the museum park to Kaknästornet. Continue over the bridge as far as Manilla and then turn left. Follow Djurgårdsvägen and pass Sjötullsbacken, the Gallery’s official address. There is a car park to the left. Leave your car in the car park and take a short walk up the hill to the palatial white building on the hill.
You need to distinguish between the two bridges that are, respectively, Djurgårdsbrunnsbron and Djurgårdsbron. Djurgårdsbron takes you to the Skansen open-air museum and does not give access to Blockhusudden and the Thiel Gallery. The car park by the gallery is known as “Blockhusudden”.
A few times per day, visitors to the gallery may arrive by boat 80 from Nybroplan in downtown Stockholm. The boat to Lidingö stops at Blockhusudden, a very short walk from the Thiel Gallery. A timetable is available here (in Swedish).
