Welcome to an evening about Thielska Galleriet, for all senses!

The arts have always come together at Thielska Galleriet. The art collector Ernest Thiel himself wrote poems that were put to music by composer Hugo Alfvén. Canadian artist Benny Nemerofsky Ramsay has started with the sevens songs and paired each of them with an artwork from the museum’s collection ans written personal reflections – Interludes – over the power of art, music and emotion.

This evening we will present the sound art piece which is a commission for the audioguide at Thielska Galleriet, in a conversation between Benny Nemerofsky Ramsay and museum director Patrik Steorn. Benny will read from his texts together with poet Clara Diesen. A few of the songs with texts by Ernest Thiel will be performed by baritone Mattias Nilsson and pianist Samuel Skönberg.

This program will be in English.
No pre-booking, the event is included in the museum entrance fee.
