Artist biographies

The banker and patron Ernest Thiel (1859-1947) built the Thiel Gallery in the years 1904-1907  to house his home and art collection. The architect was Ferdinand Boberg. The unique art collection with art from the years around 1900s include artists such as Bruno Liljefors, Edvard Munch, Eugène Jansson, Carl Larsson, August Strindberg and Anders Zorn but also works by Paul Gauguin and Henri Toulouse-Lautrec.
