Trio CAP performs Alice Tegnér’s song treasures in the Salon

The acclaimed exhibition Enchanted Everyday Life. Elsa Beskow is coming to an end, and we are celebrating with an early finissage.

On this day, Trio CAP fills the Salon with songs and music from Alice Tegnér’s and Elsa Beskow’s first joint songbook Mors lilla Olle and other songs. Alice Tegnér composed the music and Elsa Beskow created the illustrations.

You are welcome to enjoy—and perhaps sing along to—the classic songs Sov du lilla videung, Ekorrn satt i granen and Blåsippan ute i backarna står. The short concerts—only about 15 minutes—take place in a hall filled with National Romantic art from around 1900, and in an adjacent room the original illustrations for Elsa Beskow’s tale Ocke, Nutta och Pillerill are on display.

Trio CAP

The group’s name is an acronym formed from the initials of the musicians’ first names: Claes Dyberg (piano), Astri Brandell Eklund (vocals) and Peter Furuskog (bass). Astri Brandell Eklund is the granddaughter of Elsa Beskow’s sister Aina.

The music will be performed in the Salon at the following times:

12:30 | 13:30 | 14:30 | 15:30 (approx. 15–20 minutes per performance)

No advance booking. The short concerts are included in the regular museum admission.
