Thielska Galleriet Celebrates 100 Years as a Museum in 2025

To mark the centenary, a special anniversary logo has been created, inspired by Thiel’s monogram, the museum building, decorative elements on the museum façade, and the era of the 1920s. The colors—yellow and green—are drawn from ceramic tile decorations found on the façade, and the form is inspired by the Thiel Gallery's monogram. The monogram also appears on, among other things, the wedding china of Signe Maria and Ernest Thiel from the 1890s.

The anniversary logo was designed by Barbro Ohlson Smith.

Ernest and Signe commissioned porcelain with their own monogram from the porcelain manufacturer Haviland & Co in Limoges, France. In the 1880s, the factory accepted orders for personalized tableware like this. The porcelain has, in recent years, found its way back to Thielska Galleriet.
