The pottery is full of birds hovering in the air, crawling crustaceans, fish and algae from the underwater world. Trees and vegetation from the forest and land meet with\u00a0insects, weeds and flowerbeds. The design is inspired by the\u00a0Swedish countryside,\u00a0Japanese imagery and European decorative arts.<\/p>\n<p><!--more Read more--><\/p>\n<p>R\u00f6rstrand was one of the porcelain factories that\u00a0welcomed\u00a0artists in the industry. The pottery had great success and was shown at exhibitions and sold in international stores. The glistening glaze and elegant forms that grew out of the creative and experimental environment are a great\u00a0source of inspiration also today.<\/p>\n<p>The exhibition shows R\u00f6rstrands art pottery, with deposits from an important private collection in a\u00a0lush staging signed by Gunnar Kaj. Nature's splendor that adorn vases, bowls, dishes and urns will\u00a0meet real vegetation installations in the halls of Thiel Gallery. Many of the exhibition's pieces were in the forefront of\u00a0industrial art exhibitions and are\u00a0now displayed after a long beauty sleep.<\/p>\n<p>The exhibition is based on\u00a0Markus Dimdal\u00b4s newly released book\u00a0<em>Art nouveau fr\u00e5n R\u00f6rstrand: konstkeramiken 1895\u20131926 (Art Nouveau at\u00a0R\u00f6rstrand: The\u00a0art pottery in 1895\u20131926),\u00a0<\/em>Arvinius+Orfeus Publishing, Stockholm, 2016.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thielskagalleriet.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/artistic-blossoming--walltexts.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Artistic blossoming, walltexts<\/a><\/p>\n<p><em>Alf Wallander\u00b4s vase or flower pot with thistle motifs with underglaze paint on earthenware from December 1895 was one of the <\/em><em>artist\u00b4s first ceramic pieces.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Open inauguration at 2PM on 18th of February<br \/>\nWarm welcome!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sinuous shapes inspired by nature characterizes the arts and crafts of Art Nouveau or Art Nouveau style, in 1900.
